Samples and Profiles
Marble has been used for thousands of years as a practical and decorative material, using its subtle and decorative characteristics and colour as the favorite medium for Greek and Roman sculptors and architects.
The color of marble can range from the purest white to black, ranging through the warmer colors in between depending on the other mineral impurities. Pure white marble is the result of metamorphism of very pure limestones. The characteristic swirls and veins of many colored marble varieties are usually due to various mineral impurities such as clay, silt, sand, iron oxides, or chert which were originally present as grains or layers in the limestone.
As a natural material marble has no conformity of colour and pattern and so each utilisation can be regarded as unique. This adds to the appeal, giving kitchens and bathrooms total individuality.
